Clyde Drexler is a retired American professional basketball player and one of the most electrifying shooting guards in NBA history. Born on June 22, 1962, Drexler starred at the University of Houston as a member of the famed “Phi Slama Jama” before being selected 14th overall in the 1983 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. A ten-time NBA All-Star and member of the NBA’s 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams, he was known for his smooth athleticism, scoring ability, and high-flying dunks. Drexler led the Trail Blazers to two NBA Finals appearances before winning a championship with the Houston Rockets in 1995. Inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, he later became a coach and ambassador for the sport, cementing his legacy as one of the all-time greats.
