Sean Elliott is a retired American professional basketball player best known for his time with the San Antonio Spurs, where he played a crucial role in the team’s first NBA championship in 1999. Born on February 2, 1968, Elliott was a standout at the University of Arizona before being selected third overall in the 1989 NBA Draft. A two-time NBA All-Star, he was known for his smooth shooting and versatility as a forward. Elliott is also remembered for his heroic return to the court after undergoing a kidney transplant, becoming the first NBA player to do so. Following his playing career, he remains a beloved figure in San Antonio as a longtime broadcaster for the Spurs.
